SummitShare partners aid our vision of repatriation and history reclamation for a new generation

Our Partners

SummitShare is more than a project; it's a collaborative journey and vehicle aimed at ushering in a new narrative around the repatriation and reclamation of history for a newer generation. Our partners are instrumental in assisting the realization of SummitShare's vision. The canvas of SummitShare is better painted together, and these are some of the partners that have aided and continue to aid the building of SummitShare.

The Ethereum Foundation

The Infinite Garden

The Ethereum Foundation is at the forefront of research and development in the Ethereum blockchain and all of its facets. SummitShare was fortunate to gain the Foundation's support via the Next Billion project. This initiative aims to adopt and nurture research into problems and solutions that will result in social public good as well as facilitate the onboarding of the next billion users onto the blockchain.

The support from the Ethereum Foundation has been pivotal in enabling us to leverage blockchain technology for the repatriation and reclamation of historical artifacts. This collaboration ensures that the provenance and authenticity of these artifacts are preserved and transparently tracked, creating a new paradigm in the management and repatriation of cultural heritage.

The Womens History Museum of Zambia

WHMZ

The Women's History Museum of Zambia (WHMZ) is dedicated to utilizing digital humanities to enhance the appreciation of history and art, aligning closely with SummitShare's objectives. This collaboration has facilitated dialogues and access to digital assets from various governments committed to repatriation efforts.

Through a partnership facilitated by WHMZ, SummitShare engaged with the Swedish Ethnographic Museum to access their catalog and digital repository of artifacts. This collaboration provided SummitShare with valuable resources, including digital records containing provenance information and initial 3D casts of artifacts held in the museum’s collection. Leveraging these resources, the team began designing and modeling a 3D virtual exhibit featuring artifacts with rich historical contexts from Zambia and southern Africa. Beyond digital modeling, the project also proposed tokenizing these artifacts to encode and preserve their provenance, marking a significant step toward creating a decentralized digital repository.

Octant

octant Octant is a platform that enables users to lock GLM tokens, earn ETH rewards, and fund projects they care about. It aims to become the first self-sustaining global public goods funding ecosystem that balances the common good and individual financial empowerment.

SummitShare participated in Octant's first accelerator program, a sustenance initiative designed to support projects beyond initial funding. The accelerator culminated in a streaming quadratic fund for all involved projects, providing ongoing financial support and fostering a collaborative environment for growth and development.

These partnerships are instrumental in advancing SummitShare's vision of repatriation and history reclamation for a new generation. By collaborating with organizations like the Women's History Museum of Zambia and Octant, SummitShare is building a robust platform that preserves cultural heritage and empowers communities through innovative technologies and funding mechanisms.
